La Junta Directiva de la Asociación Colombiana de Empresas de Medicina Integral (Acemi), designó como nuevo presidente ejecutivo a Jaime Arias Ramírez, médico de la Universidad Javeriana. Uno de los principales retos que asumirá, será apoyar el proceso de mejora del sistema de salud, aportando una visión integral que permita la pronta adopción de los correctivos pertinentes, para garantizar la continuidad de los servicios y la consolidación de un sistema universal, que garantice de manera efectiva el derecho a la salud de los colombianos.

Investigan a ocho congresistas

La Sala Penal de la Corte Suprema de Justicia, abrió de manera preliminar investigación en contra de ocho congresistas por su presunta responsabilidad en el delito de prevaricato. Según la indagación, los legisladores omitieron en la exigencia de requisitos para posesionar al senador del Partido de la U, Charles Schulz, en reemplazo del embajador de Colombia en Perú, Jorge Visbal. Los congresistas investigados son Armando Benedetti, Dilian Francisca Toro, Piedad Zuccardi, Manuel Guillermo Mora, Manuel Enrique Rosero, Aurelio Irragorri, Plinio Olano y Roy Barreras.

Martínez regresa a la cárcel

A las 9:00 a.m., Juan Carlos Martínez, regresó a la cárcel El Bosque de Barranquilla, después de gozar de un permiso de 72 horas, que le fue otorgado por un juez. El ex senador durante el tiempo de permiso, Martínez estuvo en Bogotá, Cali y Buenaventura, su fortín político. Allá se reunió con Héctor Copete, uno de los candidatos a la Alcaldía. El procurador Alejando Ordóñez, anunció que investigará a los funcionarios del Inpec que avalaron el  permiso de salida del ex congresista vallecaucano.
