Gremios conocerán situación de EPN

Con el fin de conocer un informe detallado sobre el estado financiero de Empresas Públicas de Neiva, al igual que el real impacto que generará en los suscriptores el cambio de la estructura de los subsidios en el costo del servicio del agua, el gerente de EPN, Aurelio Navarro, se reunirá la próxima semana con varios representantes de gremios, la academia y la comunidad.
El propósito es conocer en detalle cómo quedarán las nuevas tarifas para los usuarios, teniendo en cuenta la propuesta planteada por EPN, de tal manera que se busquen alternativas conjuntas para que el presupuesto de los neivanos no se vea afectado con un alza en el costo del servicio de acueducto y alcantarillado.
Ariel Rincón Machado, presidente ejecutivo de la Cámara de Comercio de Neiva, indicó que la meta es tener recomendaciones y propuestas de los líderes de opinión para que la administración municipal tome las mejores decisiones que permitan tener una ciudad incluyente y competitiva.
“Nos parece conveniente y necesaria la solicitud cursada por el gerente de Empresas Públicas, que convoquemos a los gremios para conocer la situación actual de la empresa más importante de los neivanos, más aún cuando es la entidad que debe garantizarnos los servicios de agua, alcantarillo, y así sea por terceros, el de aseo. Sin duda, Empresas Públicas hay que redireccionarla y los gremios tienen mucho que aportar, incluso con el golpe financiero que sufrirá tras el recorte a las regalías que subsidiaban los estratos bajos”, indicó Rincón Machado.
Alternativas viables
Asimismo, el presidente ejecutivo e la CCN, indicó que en la reunión además de explicarse la nueva estructura tarifaria, la meta es conocer en detalle cuál es la real situación financiera de Empresas Públicas de Neiva, de tal manera que se concrete cuál es la mejor opción a seguir, con el fin de hacerla viable.
“Este es un tema que no es sólo responsabilidad de la administración, sino de todos los neivanos. Ojalá se sigan haciendo estos cortes de cuentas de gobierno para conocer cómo se reciben las dependencias y luego hacer el respectivo seguimiento, y no esperar a que las instituciones públicas colapsen y pierdan no solo los que administran, sino toda la ciudad”, concluyó.
La reunión se desarrollará el jueves 9 de febrero a partir de las 7:00 a.m. y se espera en la Sala de Juntas de la CCN.
